Personality Test: Danny

People use personality tests all the time, from dating sites to job recruiters.

Whether you subscribe to the idea that a simple questionnaire can pin down your personality type or not, you can’t deny it can be fun to answer the questions. Even more fun, is getting the characters from my books to answer them!

I found a free personality test online at 16personalities.com. Edel has already had her turn here

Now it’s Danny’s turn in the hot seat. Let’s see how his personality traits stack up against Edel’s…

Danny’s result turned out to be EXECUTIVE ESTJ-A

According to the website I used, 16personalities.com, ESTJ’s are natural born leaders, with a talent for decision making. This sounds very much like Danny, who in my opinion, can be a little bit bossy. The website claims that ESTJ’s have a direct communication style and a no-nonsense approach to problem solving. Danny has shown us these traits time and time again.

The score is broken down into five sections: Mind, Energy, Nature, Tactics, and Identity.

For mind, Danny scored 62% observant. This means Danny is likely to be pragmatic and down to earth, with a strong focus on what is happening around him. While he is extremely focussed on the world around him, and can anticipate what will happen next in most situations, I wouldn’t consider Danny to be down to earth. In fact, I think he considers himself a cut above the average man, due to both his Elite status within the country, and his superior genes.

On energy, Danny scored 79% Extraverted. Danny is far from the life and soul of the party scene, but he does thrive on social interactions and is very comfortable in a crowd. Danny would never shy away from public speaking, and he feels confident in showcasing his talents.

For Nature, Danny scored 56% thinking. According to the website I used, thinking individuals focus on objectivity and rationality, and they put effectiveness above social harmony. Thinking back to the first book, when Danny chased Edel all over town to get some answers, I’d say this is a correct description of Danny’s traits. Danny goes for what he wants, and will travel the fastest route there, even if that means upsetting others to reach his goal.

For tactics, Danny scored 85% judging. His score was very similar to Edel’s here. Judging individuals are decisive and highly organised. They also prefer structure and predictability. I’d argue that this is a trait of the XJ5s as a whole, regardless of their upbringing.

And finally, for the identity aspect, Danny scored 78% assertive. According to 16personalities.com Assertive individuals are self-assured, even-tempered, and resistant to stress. I would definitely agree that Danny is self-assured. He is also resistant to worries, but I think we all know what happens when an XJ5 is subjected to too much stress…

Overall, I’d say this is a great sum-up of Danny’s personality traits.

This was done purely for fun. Why not take the test yourself and see how you fare?
